Today's thoughts on living with a disability. It not only affects us but the burden spreads all around. Give respite to those who so faithfully assist us. My angels are many, but the most touching are my children who have grown up knowing no different of me. Always pitching in; my oldest intellectual one; Benjamin always asking "are you okay" ; my baby boy; Madison who has always been my muscles and my baby girl; Chelsea who is my clone and "left" hand do it all young woman. Very thankful and proud of how caring they have begun.

Today's thoughts for breaking the barrier of disabilities - it's okay to hug us, the healing of gentle touch is powerful, cry with us we won't melt but just need a release, don't be afraid to ask questions we need a chance to explain. Most of all laugh with us when we laugh at ourselves; it is not out of disrespect but just a mechanism to cope. I truly believe we all should dance not only in the physical but from the heart and soul!!

Day two down and off to bed for the night. Continuing my passion to fight for the voice of those with silent diseases. Remember we make walk by today of our own power, tomorrow in a wheelchair or scooter and the next with a simple cane. It's just that our bodies control the support needed. We do not seek attention just understanding that how we mobilize has nothing to do with who we are. Thanks for all the good wishes. They are helping me to stay positive and always " you make my heart dance"

Day one home complete and tucked in bed for the night. They delivered a rolling walker today for me to use until my muscles strengthen and balance return. Trying to stay positive and fight for all the people I know or who I've rehabilitated over the years who also battle a silent disease. My new passion in life is to break the barrier of disability. Remember there are times you see a person who's face smiles but their body cries. You only need to smile back and they will know you don't judge and understand.

Yay! Going home today to recoup. Hoping since I started stronger than I've been in years will help get my strength back quicker. Breathing easier and kidneys settling down. Thank you body for starting to cooperate again and working with me too. With my positive attitude and your cooperation, we've got this! Thanks everyone for all the good wishes and reaching out to help.

"You may be knocking the wind out of my sails, but I refuse to let you capsize me. I will ride your storm out and when the calm waters of the sun rise; I will be the one to win and bask in the glory of its beauty." -AML
